Whitman Cycling welcomes you to
Fall Visitors Weekend 2009
October 9-11th
Welcome all prospective students! The team is excited to welcome you to Walla Walla. We encourage you to join us for some road riding during your visit. Its a great way to meet the team and get a grips on what everyone has been talking about....just how awesome the wheat fields are for riding! The vets will be sure to keep the pace leisurely while the freshman bounce around with the usual excitement.
We have a team ride Friday at 4.15pm, leaving from Reid Campus Center
If you need a bike for the rides, we have a few bikes within the team that can be borrowed. Email Colin Gibson or Ben Chaddock for more information.
We all hope to meet you there!

Why The Team is SO Rad
Hi. This is Whitney Griggs, a freshman here at Whitman College. As you might have guessed from the title, I am here to help show why the Whitman Cycling Team is the best club sport team at Whitman College. I joined because I love to be physically active, and cycling is a perfect spring sport complement to the fall sport of cross-country running. In addition, I wanted to experience the kind of ride depicted below Since joining the team, I have been surprised by the amount of time that the team captains have taken to ensure a good experience and successful season for everyone. One of the team
captains spends at least 3-4 hours a week just helping underclassmen with stretches and other gym routines. If this seems like it might be for you, I would just suggest coming out for a ride to see if you like it. As stated above, for more information contact Colin Gibson, Ben Chaddock, or me.
